We manufacture: Hydraulic U-Seals, Pneumatic U-Seals, Wipers, Chevron Packs and Cup Seals. Short Runs: While any manufacturer likes long runs, a large part of our business is one-off's. Special quantity discounts apply to large quantities. Fast Deliveries: 3 to 4 days ex-manufacture (subject to standard tooling). In the case of a breakdown, part deliveries can be made within 24 hrs. Raw Material: Is specially tailored to our particular field and we have a special grade of material specifically manufactured for our use. This material is exclusive to ourselves and is not supplied to any other manufacturer. Pre-manufacture testing and additives ensure superior Lubricity, Abrasion resistance and Compression set. Pressure Ratings: Dependant on adequate support and the necessary housing tolerances being maintained our seals are capable of sealing pressures of up to 10,000 psi.
Material specifications Polyurethane
is the common name for a very wide range of synthetic rubber-like materials
manufactured by the polymerization of chemicals generally having isocyanate
content. F.B.P
Precision Plastics Polyurethane elastomers are generally characterized by
extremely good abrasion resistance, excellent tear and cut resistance and good
chemical resistance. Outstanding properties of F.B.P Precision Plastics
high-class urethane elastomers are their high tensile strength and good
compression set properties. These properties are obtained by careful selection
of the chemical components and thorough attention the manufacturing process. Unlike
most plastics F.B.P Precision Plastics polyurethanes are not affected by
exposure to sunlight. Furthermore F.B.P Precision Plastics polyurethanes are not
affected by hydrolysis (degradation when exposed to water wet applications). Hydrolysis
is a common problem with many urethanes especially the less expensive
general-purpose grades. Outstanding
properties make F.B.P Precision Plastics polyurethanes the materials of choice
in heavy- duty applications. Grades F.B.P
